Nikon Z5 Settings

White Balance - start with 5200 (D7200 was 5500) Kelvin. This will reduce yellow skin tone hue on Asian skin, adjust as needed to compensate for English skin tones.

To eliminate magenta hue on 5200 Kelvin

PHOTO SHOOTING MENU > White balance > scroll across twice > Adjust to M 0.5

Aperture 7.1 (Average for group shots)

Exposure Compensation = 1.0

Saturation +1.00

ISO Sensitivity Settings

ISO Sensitivity 1600

Auto ISO Control ON (If Required)

Maximum Sensitivity 6400

Maximum Sensitivity with flash 1600

Minimun Shutter Speed 1/80

Zoom / Magnification 

CUSTOM SETTING MENU > Controls > Custom Controls > Select Movie button > Zoom ON/OFF Select 1:1 100%

AE / AF Back Button

CUSTOM SETTING MENU (Pencil) > Controls > Assign AE/AF Button

Set to AF ON

FOCUS POINT/TYPE

Press i and change from menu.

Turn main command dial (back) - choose between AF C (continuous) AF A (auto) AF S (single)

For fastest focus use AF Area Mode - Wide-area AF (S)

Playback display options > add desired options, focus point, shooting data, overview etc.

Copyright Information > input artist name / copyright name

Tip hold Delete/Bin at beginning of text to quickly delete all text.

File Numbering 

CUSTOM SETTING MENU > d Shooting /display > a6 File Number Sequence > OFF

This will reset count to 001 when memory card is formated.
